Meet the founder of Straight Talk for Women!

Kristy is on a mission with a message to share how God desires to heal our hurts and give us hope for our future!

Kristy is a Writer, Speaker, and Bible Teacher who’s messages are packed with personal stories of how God has transformed her life, healing the wounds of  her childhood and the damage of poor choices made during her teen years.

Though she had accepted Christ as a child, she stubbornly chose to do things “her way”. Consequently, dropping out of high school and by age twenty was facing an unplanned pregnancy. After originally deciding to end the pregnancy; she changed her mind knowing in her heart that terminating the pregnancy was wrong.

Kristy stood strong against the immense opposition to her decision to keep the baby. God proved that not only could He bring good out of bad but also that He has a strange sense of humor because soon after discovered she was expecting TWINS!

Shortly after her twins’ first birthday she and their father were married but the rocky beginnings of their relationship, coupled with doubts and resentments, soon clouded out the love they once shared. Realizing if they were serious about staying married, they needed to be serious about getting real help.

After enlisting a Christian marriage counselor and two years of active involvement in her church’s Celebrate Recovery® program, she began the journey towards recovery. This resulted in a deeper trust in Christ and new tools to strengthen her marriage.

Kristy and her husband have been married for 18 years and currently live in southern California with their three daughters. Kristy and her family have been members at Saddleback Valley Community Church since 1992. They are involved in the Support Group ministry where they continue to grow in their marriage and help other couples do the same.
